Random Quotes

Okay, maybe not so random, but I found these somewhat funny. I don't just find them funny because they are anti-Bush, but because they are silly and tease the use of the English language.

I found these from this site.

"I've coined new words, like, misunderstanding and Hispanically."- GWB, Washington, March, 2001 The word "vant" has him beat. When did misunderstanding become a new word? I'm pretty sure I heard it before the last election.

"As you know, these are open forums, you're able to come and listen to what I have to say."- GWB, Washington, October, 2003

"You teach a child to read, and he or her will be able to pass a literacy test."- GWB, February, 21, 2001

"Neither in French, nor in English, nor in Mexican."- GWB, Quebec City, Canada, April, 2001

"It's clearly a budget. It's got a lot of numbers in it."- GWB, Reuters, May, 2000

"See, free nations are peaceful nations. Free nations don't attack each other. Free nations don't develop weapons of mass destruction."- GWB, Wisconsin, October, 2003

And my ultimate favorite:

This was great. I laughed a lot reading these. Here are some of my favorites:

"You teach a child to read, and he or her will be able to pass a literacy test."- GWB, February, 21, 2001 Really? Wow. That's amazing. You are so wise, Mr. President. I'm so glad you're in charge of our country.

"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."- GWB, Washington, 2004 Hmm. I'm wondering if somewhere there is a script writer who is smacking himself in the head because you just deviated again.

"It's clearly a budget. It's got a lot of numbers in it."- GWB, Reuters, May, 2000 Maybe if you teach a child to add, they can figure out what a budget looks like.

Great post, Beth, loved it.
